چکیده

In this paper, we report on the comprehensive study Molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) nanolayer coated etched Fiber Bragg Grating (eFBG) strain sensor. MoS is using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) of (Mo) eFBGs followed by sulfurization same in an inert atmosphere at 450° C. Such coating technique provides a direct control over thickness , thereby enabling based effect intrinsic sensitivity as well power back reflected wavelength eFBG 0.78eV spectral region. High uniformity ensures consistent, repeatable and highly linear FBG sensors with correlation coefficient 0.988 range 0 to 2500 ??. A maximum ~6.65 pm/?? resolution ~150 n? have been achieved optimized sensors. This kind sensitive when incorporated proper packaging schemes can be particularly useful for applications demanding high such detection seismic vibrations, underwater acoustic signals, low amplitude accelerations, etc.

Strain Transfer Analysis of a Clamped Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor

Clamped fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors have been widely applied in engineering strain measurements due to their advantages of high flexibility and efficiency. However, due to the existence of the interlayer, the strain measured by the encapsulated FBG sensor is not equal to the strain of the host material, which causes strain measurement errors. In this paper, the strain transfer analysis of...

A Magnetostrictive Composite-Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor

This paper presents a light and compact optical fiber Bragg Grating sensor for DC and AC magnetic field measurements. The fiber is coated by a thick layer of a magnetostrictive composite consisting of particles of Terfenol-D dispersed in a polymeric matrix. Among the different compositions for the coating that were tested, the best magnetostrictive response was obtained using an epoxy resin as ...

Sensitivity-Improved Strain Sensor over a Large Range of Temperatures Using an Etched and Regenerated Fiber Bragg Grating

A sensitivity-improved fiber-optic strain sensor using an etched and regenerated fiber Bragg grating (ER-FBG) suitable for a large range of temperature measurements has been proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The process of chemical etching (from 125 µm to 60 µm) provides regenerated gratings (at a temperature of 680 °C) with a stronger reflective intensity (from 43.7% to 69.8%), togethe...

Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors and Sensor Arrays

Fiber Bragg gratings have found widespread application in sensor systems, e. g. for temperature, strain or refractive index measurements. The concept of fiber Bragg gratings allows also in a simple way the realisation of arrays of such sensors. The development of such optical fiber sensor systems often requires special fibers and grating structures which may go beyond more conventional Bragg gr...
